Jan 27, 2014 · I have a Belkin N600DB (F9K1102) wireless router. The built-in firmware STINKS! I know that I can't put DD-WRT or OpenWRT on it, but does anyone know of a replacement firmware for this thing? I'd like to try and salvage it if possible. Specifically I'm looking for a wait to turn up the RX/TX gain to get a greater range. My N600 DB router won't update firmware The router is currently at version 3.04.13 and won't update to the others. Every time i try to update it, it says "Upgrade file is not the correct type or version for this device. To do that, a) read the router user's manual (you can usually find it on the manufacturer's website), b) contact your retailer, or c) check your router settings. Mind that most ISP-issued routers do not support VPN configurations.
